Ocean Creative was established in Hong Kong in 1994 by a group of creative professionals committed to promote and develop Hong Kong's local comic art in the most original and organic fashion.
Founder WAN, Yat Leung ( ), Also known as Fat-Leung ( ), wrote and produced the Tiger Shark ( ); a pioneer sci-fi action comic brought about the force of sensitivity and philosophy of human-being coupled with new way of drawings and creative arts. It immediately became the best selling comic book in Hong Kong according to H.K. weekly sales report. Later on, the Warlord ( ), another successful comic orchestrated by Mr. Wan, a martial arts style comic book; was equally supported by readers. Today, Ocean Creative Company has gained its reputation as one of the most diverse local comic publishers in Hong Kong.
